Maratona DH. Eccellenza in testa

Maratona DH Udine 14.10.2022 (3)

The DH Marathon, 10-14 October 2022, will include numerous events, some of which open to the public, designed to disseminate the results achieved by the Department of Excellence project dedicated to the Digital Humanities.

The events will be held at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures in collaboration with four other Departments of Excellence working in the field of Digital Humanities at the University of Verona, the University of Udine, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the University of Venice Ca' Foscari, and under the patronage of AIUCD (Associazione Informatica Umanistica e Cultura Digitale).

Stemming from a distinct and shared critical awareness about the enormous potential of the DH, and from the constant challenge rpresented by the inexhastible richness of the DH, the Marathon intends to showcase the achievements of five Departments that have collaborated, networking from the very beginning, on topics related to foreign languages and literatures, history, archaeology and media.

This is why the DH Marathon is a unique event through which the five universities intend to disseminate to the public and to the scientific community the results achieved through the funding they received. The purpose of the Marathon is to provide a broad and varied view of the possibilities of applying the DH to fields as diverse as they are complex.

The event, which is open to students, undergraduates, doctoral students, colleagues and the general public, will include about 160 experts involved over the five days, 6 panel discussions, and 100 communications that can be attended in person or by connecting to Zoom.
