The Department's public engagement activities consist mainly of:

  • popular publications and events on topics such as language differences and varieties, human mobility, literary knowledge, civic education, socially relevant phenomena
  • participation of lecturers in local, national or international radio and television broadcasts
  • participation in public meetings organised by other parties (libraries, archives, museums, associations)
  • organisation of cycles of informative cultural meetings (conferences, presentation of publications, series of readings)
  • organisation of concerts, exhibitions and other events of public interest
  • initiatives in collaboration with local and national authorities aimed at urban development or promoting knowledge and appreciation of the territory
