For the five-year period 2018-2022, the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures has been included by the Ministry of Universities and Research among the 180 'Departments of Excellence' and awarded special funding (EUR 6 million) to be invested in activities aimed at enhancing scientific research, developing innovative teaching methods, recruiting new scholars and organising initiatives to disseminate the findings of the research to the general public.
