Objective
The project aims to analyse the reception of the main works of the canon of socialist realism in post-war Italian publishing, creating a digital archive that will make it possible to trace the history of the 18 volumes considered from the first edition to the translation and distribution in Italian. The archive will also include critical contributions and outline the main controversies aroused by the individual editions.

Objective
Foreign TV series translated and dubbed into Moroccan Arabic have enjoyed some success since the first one was broadcast in 2009: Las dos caras de Ana achieved a 38% share of the viewer ratings just three weeks after the first episode aired. The choice of the vernacular instead of the standard version as dubbing language immediately raised numerous comments - many of them dissenting - within Moroccan public opinion, which expressed them both in national newspapers and on the Internet. The object of criticism was, among other things, the kind of Moroccan Arabic used in the translation, which many, while supporting the use of the vernacular in areas that normally tend to preserve the standard version, considered too vulgar or close to the Casablanca dialect. Despite this, the broadcasting of TV series dubbed into the vernacular has continued on the wave of ever-increasing public success, particularly thanks to the numerous productions imported from Turkey. The aim of this research project is to compare the linguistic choices made by media writers engaged in the translation and dubbing of non-Arabic-speaking TV series into Moroccan Arabic with the linguistic variation found, on the one hand, in the texts of Moroccan-produced series and, on the other hand, in unplanned semi-spontaneous speech contexts. The aim of this comparison will be to study the sociolinguistic representations that implicitly emerge from the linguistic selection carried out by translators and/or dubbers. It will also aim to identify the dominant linguistic ideologies and relationships of inequality, both between the language varieties and between social groups, that inform the process of standardisation of Moroccan Arabic carried out, presumably unintentionally, by these translations.

Objective
The project aims to offer a detailed linguistic analysis of the Italian documentary papyri written between 445 and 700 in the Ravenna area, and edited by Swedish philologist and Latinist Jan-Olof Tjäder. From a methodological point of view, the study aims at integrating the approaches and methods of historical linguistics and sociolinguistics with those developed in the field of Digital Humanities applied to ancient languages, with particular regard to the automatic processing and linguistic annotation of texts and so-called information extraction.

Objective
The aim of the project is to represent the voice of migrants in the post-pandemic period in Italy and Europe in order to explore how this emergency situation has affected the perception of otherness. The main hypothesis that we want to test with this research is that of the paradigm shift that leads towards a less clear-cut and conflicting perception of otherness due to environmental and climatic phenomena that involve the entire world community and thus to a problematisation of the anthropocene.

The object of the research consists in studying the fortune of 14th century poetry (canonical or minor) in repertoires of the subsequent centuries, characterised by a strong intertextuality and intended for performance in the form of recital or song. The study will be accompanied by the preparation of a critical edition including texts that have never been published.

In view of the tasks and areas of research promoted by the Department of Excellence, the primary objective of this project is to define the substance, specificity, role and place occupied by transcodification as a specificity of the concept 'translation' and as a practice of culture in contemporary digitised society, having as its working material the new media present in Runet, the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet.

Objective
From a theoretical point of view, the research is configured as a study of the translation problems of "synophonic" literature, i.e. literature produced in Chinese - or in synoptic languages - outside the cultural hegemony of mainland China, by bilingual authors. From a practical point of view, the research aims to explore new approaches and methodologies for translating intrinsically hetero-linguistic texts, witnesses to a process of hybridisation of linguistic and cultural codes. It also aims to develop new strategies to restore the richness of intertextual references, in the act of conveying meanings, and to further investigate the activity of self-translation.
